He knew that I had gone to Affinity, so we went back together. Even though it had been so long since I had first gone to Affinity, David recognized me!
He recalled our conversation, that I was interested in ArtCarved, and worked with us after many visits to customize a subtle triforce design based on one of the ArtCarved rings I had picked.
That whole time, not once did he ask us to put money down or anything! In fact, we ended up being the ones who brought it up.
After we finished designing, he introduced us to Boris who would make the ring, and as we were chatting, David casually brought up that my fiance was an engineer, so Boris could send him the CAD file to look over when he was done.
I just gaped at David because I only mentioned that my fiance was an engineer at that first meeting many many months ago, and he remembered off the top of his head.
For the triforces, David warned us that triangular moissanites in the size we had in mind may be difficult to find.

The first set that he found ended up being bigger than we would have liked. However, we were already content with them because we weren’t sure there would be any small triangular stones in the first place.
But no! David would not have it. Sure enough, he found the perfect size! I have no idea how he does it!

The actual ring shank is an older model, so ArtCarved no longer had a sample to send to him. Again, my fiance and I were already content and didn’t need to see a sample since we were doing a lot of custom work anyway.
He found a fellow jeweler in Riverside who did have a sample and pulled in a favor to have the sample ring driven all the way just so I could see and confirm that it is, indeed, what I wanted.
I am so grateful. We originally told them that we did not need the ring until April.
Sooner would be great, but no rush if there are other orders in a bigger hurry. However, David and my fiance spoke separately, and when David found out that we were traveling to see family for Christmas, he offered to have the ring done before we travel.

My fiance told him it’s not necessary, but David and Boris worked to get the ring finished in time for my fiance to surprise me, and we were able to show the ring to our family during the holidays.

David was the gentleman who helped me and worked with me despite having very specific needs and requirement. The ring designer was kind enough to send me a CAD file of the design they made for me so I could look at the design by 3D printing it.
In the end, the ring came out great and we’ve been happy with the product and service.
Fast forward two years later and last week my wife noticed that one of the diamonds on her band had fallen out. She took catty of the ring and yet here we were.
I wasn’t sure how the follow up service would be from them but thankfully David put us at ease and ensured they would take care of us and that they did.

I have never been made to feel so inferior and belittled. I did my appraisal there two months ago and loved them. I went back to get a wedding band.
In the middle of looking at the bands with a sales woman, the jeweller walked up.
I I have never met or spoken to this particular jeweller. He declared loudly that my engagement ring has badly made and they could take the diamonds off remake it.
Then he kept walking past me. I didn’t even know what had just happened.

I understand it may not be made to their quality, but it is special to me. I would think a jewellery store would recognized that engagement rings are special to the person and have sentimental value.
