29.02.2020 – As a fashion accessory, we wear rings in different fingers depending usually on how they look. The index finger and thumb are surprisingly comfortable places to wear rings. Article Edit. On the other hand, wearing a ring on the yin hand represents the willingness to accept guidance from the leadership of others.

Okay, so let’s dive into the content. Rings on fingers, it’s funny how something so small can get people all worked up. Some of the articles and videos I’ve put out about rings have been the most commented on, and everyone seems to have an opinion from the conservative American who believes you should only wear a wedding ring to my friends who have maybe come over from Romania or Bulgaria or Ukraine and they’ve got rings on almost every finger.
Okay, I know that’s not a typical for everybody over there, but I do find that in other parts of the world, rings and symbolism, they’ve got a very long history.
If you go back to India and you look through Indian history, you look through Chinese history, oftentimes, wealth and power was shown on the fingers.

If you could afford to wear gold, silver, or other precious metals and stones on your fingers, you obviously were a man of wealth and that attracted not only women, but business partners, all types of potential partners.
It was something that men, they wore who they were not only on their clothing, but on their fingers, everything about them.
They weren’t mutual funds to put your money in. You put your money in gold and many people still do because — well, I’m not going to get into a discussion on gold, but let’s get into each finger and what it symbolizes, so let’s start off with the pinky finger.

Probably one of the first things, if any guy is looking at getting a ring that is going to be more of an accessory, is the pinky.
This one’s good because what it — well, it depends on what your opinion is, but because it’s your smallest finger, a ring on it really sticks out and it’s one that it’s on the end of your hand and it immediately grabs attention.
Let’s talk next about the fourth finger. The fourth finger is typically, depending on what hand it is — actually, taking a step back, hands, right, left, the difference is cultural.
Some cultures, they’re going to have their wedding rings on the left hand side. In many cultures in North America and South America, that is the case.
We all know there’s a very popular gesture where you can send someone a very strong message of what you think of them, but also the middle finger is about balance and it’s typically been associated with Saturn. Thumb rings have a slightly outlandish feel to people who come from conventional North American culture, but they’re actually reasonably common worldwide.

I’m married to a Ukrainian. This is where it went. We got married again when we came to the United States. A really quick fact, we got married in a drive-thru, not by Elvis Presley, but it was drive-thru in Las Vegas just for fun, but I didn’t get a ring for this.
We just used the same one again.

You would think that it would be a little bit more common, and it wasn’t what a lot of men try to accessorize, but I find that it’s the one that when you put a ring on it, it actually affects the whole hand, and that takes us to the index finger, to the pointing finger.
This one is oftentimes — historically, this is where men would wear class rings. This is where they would send a message, perhaps a family crest.

Now, many of us pull away from that because the pointer finger is something that we use to point. It’s right in here with our thumb.
It’s something that whenever we grip, it’s one of our strongest fingers. That’s why a lot of us don’t put a ring on there, and cultural expectations as well.
